The Island Ristol is inhabitat by some deers. At the highest point at the island you have a beautiful overview on the nearby Summer Islands. You can wade from the mainland to the island at low tide.

Lights
There are no lights for entering the bay, so aproaching by daylight is recommended.
Approach
Sailing on The Minch, you can take the route between the islands Glas-leac Mòr and Tenera Beg
Entry
It is a small narrow entrance to the bay between the Eilean Ristol and the Mainland with lots of rocks. With high tide there is enough water beneath the keel.
Berthing
There are a few small fishing vessels anchoring in the bay, it is not allowed to use there moorings for anchoring. It is a hard rocky bottom, so it is recommended to be sure the anchor has a good grip. Watch the tide tables, the bay is not so deep, only in the middle and the differends between low and high tide is about 3 meters.
Facilities
There is a small jetty for the fishermen, no other facilities
