Navigation

Lights

There are no lights for entering the bay, so aproaching by daylight is recommended.

Approach

Sailing on The Minch, you can take the route between the islands Glas-leac Mòr and Tenera Beg

Entry

It is a small narrow entrance to the bay between the Eilean Ristol and the Mainland with lots of rocks. With high tide there is enough water beneath the keel.

Berthing

There are a few small fishing vessels anchoring in the bay, it is not allowed to use there moorings for anchoring. It is a hard rocky bottom, so it is recommended to be sure the anchor has a good grip. Watch the tide tables, the bay is not so deep, only in the middle and the differends between low and high tide is about 3 meters.

Facilities

There is a small jetty for the fishermen, no other facilities
